Water damage doesn’t care about your schedule, and neither do the people we send to your door. Our Fresno crew is a small, tight group of technicians and coordinators who have worked thousands of local jobs together, from Tower District bungalows with 1940s plumbing to newer builds in Clovis and Sunnyside that shouldn’t be leaking at all. What unites them is simple: they find the tide mark, they dry past it, and they explain every step in plain English before touching anything. That’s the whole job. Everything else is just showing up on time with shoe covers on.
Restoration work we handle

Our People
Marcus D. – Lead Water Restoration Technician
Marcus has been with Tidemark since 2011 and has led more Fresno water damage jobs than anyone on the crew. He holds IICRC certifications in Water Damage Restoration and Applied Structural Drying, and he’s the one who decides which Dri-Eaz or Phoenix unit goes where when a kitchen floor is holding water. Marcus can read a moisture map the way some people read a football play. On weekends he’s usually under the hood of a ’67 Mustang he’s been rebuilding for what his wife calls “going on a decade.”
Elena R. – Fire Damage Specialist
Elena earned her IICRC Fire and Smoke Restoration certification after years of general restoration work, and she’s the person you want on-site when soot has traveled further than the flames did. She handles content cleaning, odor mitigation, and the delicate work of deciding what can be saved and what genuinely can’t. Elena grew up in Fowler and knows half the neighborhood names between here and Selma without checking a map. She keeps a small notebook in her truck with the names of every homeowner she’s worked with, because she says people remember being treated like people.
Daniel K. – Service Coordinator
Daniel is the voice on the phone at 3 a.m. when a supply line lets go and you’re standing in an inch of water with a bath towel. He’s been coordinating emergency dispatch for Tidemark Fresno for seven years and can tell you within about twenty minutes when a crew will actually arrive, not just when they’ll “be there soon.” Daniel maps the first available technician, checks equipment status, and sets expectations before anyone hangs up. He’s also fluent in Spanish, which matters a lot in a city where nearly half of households speak it at home. Outside of work, he coaches youth soccer at a park in southeast Fresno.

Tyler J. – Apprentice Technician
Tyler joined the crew two years ago after growing up watching his uncle run a plumbing business in Madera. He’s working toward his IICRC Water Restoration Technician credential under Marcus’s supervision and already handles much of the daily moisture monitoring on larger dry-outs. Tyler is the one who takes the final cleanup photo on most jobs, so if you’ve seen that shot of your hallway with drop cloths rolled up and the floor dry, that’s his work. He’s also the designated tall person for anything above standard reach, which he will tell you is a legitimate job title.
One Standard, Every Job
Tidemark Water Damage Fresno is independently owned and operated, working to the Cedarwell Care Promise. What that means in practice is that every location has to meet the same bar, from Fresno to any other city in the network. Our crew follows the C.A.R.E. values without having to be reminded: we clean up like it’s our own home, we ask before we move or touch anything, we respect quiet hours, and we explain the price in writing before the first piece of equipment comes through the door. Every technician is background-checked, uniformed, and credentialed through IICRC, RIA, or IFA. Every job gets shoe covers and drop cloths as standard, no upsell. Every job gets a photo of the cleanup before the crew leaves. And every job, whether it’s water, mold, or fire, carries the 365-Day Done Right Promise. If it’s not done right, we make it right. Rick Sumner, owner of the Fresno location, is the person who answers for that promise when something goes sideways, and he’d rather do that rarely than cheaply.
